About
A large, arboreal lizard native to Central and South American rainforests, now invasive in Florida, Hawaii, and parts of the Caribbean. They can reach 1.5 meters in length and are surprisingly good swimmers.

Soft, leathery, white eggs about the size of a small plum, laid in burrows dug up to 1 meter deep in sandy or loose soil.
